Engineer with 15 years of experience, specializing in large yacht systems and piping, with at least 5 years directly managing direct reports. Regulatory experience with the requirements of Lloyds Register and MCA. Proficient in AutoCad and Microsoft Office applications. Good communication skills with the ability to make technical decisions with confidence, responsible for the class-compliant completion of systems and piping engineering for large motoryachts. Will manage 5 mechanical engineers providing technical direction and practical guidance. Interact with Project Management personnel on schedule and management issues, with Construction Management personnel on technical questions and deliverables to the trades, with Project Engineer to ensure deliverables are in accordance with specification. Assist with coordination with other engineering disciplines. Identify and assist in the resolution of compliance conflicts and interpretation issues. Liaise with customer representatives on engineering issues related to the specification. Prioritize and schedule of tasks to individual engineers to ensure deliverables are completed on schedule. Interact and coordinate with sub-contract engineering firms and/or vendors for out-sourced deliverables. Drafting and design concepts and occasional details.
