In this capacity, Rotkirch will oversee all operations of the shipyard, which is one of the largest cruise ship repair facilities in the world; Grand Bahama Shipyard services more than 100 cruise ships, cargo vessels, tankers, and naval vessels annually. Managing Director David Dalgleish, who has successfully led the shipyard's operations and growth during the last three years, will continue his day to day operation of the yard while reporting directly to Rotkirch.
MarineCFO Expands Team
MarineCFO said that Richard Dishman has joined the company as Vice President - Operations and Edward DeVillier has joined the company as Vice President - North American Sales.
Schat-Harding Strengthens Miami Support
Schat-Harding has strengthened its support for cruise ship operators in the Miami area by opening a service base in Fort Lauderdale. The new offices, service base and workshops will be within the Fort Lauderdale facilities of Worldwide Marine Services, the global ship Joseph technical support group, and SchatHarding will train and authorize Worldwide Marine technicians to support its own service engineers. Gary Joseph, president of SchatHarding Americas, says, "By joining forces with Worldwide Marine in Fort Lauderdale we strengthen our existing Florida service network and provide owners with a well-equipped service base close to the key cruise base ports." Schat-Harding's Service Division now has Americas service bases in Virginia, Florida and Louisiana, as well as Canada, Mexico and Panama.

Enviro Voraxial Signs Agreement
Enviro Voraxial Technology entered into a representative agreement with CCS Midstream Services, an integrated energy and environmental services company. The agreement provides for CCS Midstream Services to market, sell and use the Voraxial for the offshore exploration and production market in the Gulf of Mexico. With over 3500 platforms and approximately 1 billion barrels of produced water generated each year, the Gulf of Mexico offshore exploration and production market represents one of the largest offshore markets in the world. Van der Velden in Joint Venture
Van der Velden Marine Systems announced a joint venture with Canadian company Autonav for the delivery of advanced components for its rotary vane steering gear. The new Van der Velden Commander steering gear will incorporate the second generation of compact rudder actuators designed by Paul Wagner. Van der Velden Commander rotary vane steering gear touted by the maker as ideal for all commercial oceangoing vessels as well as superyachts and inland ships. It is available in rudder angles from 2 x 35 degrees to 2 x 70 degrees and over a torque range from 25 kNm to over 1600 kNm.

W�rtsil� acquired the German company Claus D. Christophel Mess- und Regeltechnik GmbH (CDC), which specializes in the design, delivery and service of automation systems for ship owners and yards. The company is based in Hamburg and has three business areas, which are maritime information technology, project engineering and customer service. CDC's net annual sales were EUR 2.1 million in 2007.
