Pugh to head its Office of Marine Highways and Passenger Services in Washington, D.C., focusing on expanding the use of America's coastal, intracoastal and inland waterways to reduce landside congestion, reduce energy consumption and increase opportunities for American mariners, shipbuilding and the overall economy. He will also oversee the office of Passenger Vessel Services, which was established to support the passenger and cruise industry and its multi-billion dollar contribution to the economy as well as the congestion relief that passenger ferries offer nationwide. ESAB Promotes Ostaffe ESAB Welding & Cutting Products said that Michael J. Ostaffe has joined ESAB as Vice President of Product Management and Development - Filler Metals for North Ostaffe America. He will be responsible for driving ESAB's programs forward in product management, product research and development of filler metals. He will also assume the responsibility for Marketing Communications for all products in North America. Costa North America Names New Execs Maurice M. Zarmati, President and CEO of Costa Cruise Lines North America said that industry veteran Scott Knutson, CTC, has been named Vice President of Sales and that Ruben Perez has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Guest Services and Revenue Management for Costa's North American headquarters. Most recently, Knutson was Regional Vice President of Sales for the Southeastern United States with Carnival Cruise Lines. Perez has been with Costa North America for 24 years, most recently as Vice President of Passenger Services. Both Knutson and Perez will report directly to Zarmati. In Knutson's new position heading up Sales for Costa's North American region, he will oversee Field Sales, Group Sales, National Accounts, Commandant Presents Benkert Awards Coast Guard Commandant Adm.
