Gunderson Marine in Portland Oregon is looking for a Marine Project Manager/ Senior Marine Engineer General Position Summary: � Plan, organize, and perform complete project management from the bidding stage to delivery of the vessels � Perform engineering analysis to develop construction drawings, specifications, and other engineering data for the project vessels � Develop plans and specifications for the shipyard facilities such as the launchway upgrades, vessel launching calculations, launchway cradle repair or new construction, lifting equipment design, etc. Primary Responsibilities: � Provide engineering scheduling for the projects under responsibility � Communicate with regulatory bodies, outside engineering firms, Owner's rep, subcontractors, and other Gunderson departments for the projects � Make applications for and obtain the ABS and USCG documents of the vessels to meet delivery schedule � Develop vessel/barge detail designs including specifications, general arrangement, lines, structures, outfitting, machinery, and piping systems, using ABS rules and USCG regulations; drawings will be produced in AutoCAD 2008 2-D or ShipConstructor 3-D formats � Provide material take-offs, paint area & quantity calculation, Subcontractor's specifications, & ABS service fees, etc. for estimation of a new project � Perform stress analysis as well as scantling, hydrostatic, hydrodynamic, and piping calculations to ensure compliance with the design specifications and regulatory body rules � Check drawings, specifications, calculations, and other infor mation generated by coworkers � Supervise junior engineers, designers, and drafters Please send resumes to: hrgund@gbrx.com JNR.
