Marine Application Engineer
A full-time Marine Application Engineer is needed to work in the Evansville/Louisville area of a growing and expanding Indianapolis based distributor of diesel engines and power generation equipment. The successful candidate will provide technical assistance to marine sales and marketing personnel as well as marine architects, shipyards and end user customers. In addition this individual will be responsible for supporting the Marine Business for all Crosspoint branches. The successful candidate will provide assistance in rating and selection of engines, provide engine package information, provide engine installation instructions and subsystem design requirements, perform sea trials, diagnose vessel performance, and provide technical support of repair technicians. Theoretical and practicable knowledge in engine electrical systems, diesel engine performance/diagnostics, serial communications, and the ability to work with complex electrical schematics or CAD drawings preferred. 1-5 years in Diesel and/or Marine Industry preferred. BSME, BSMET, BST or equivalent experience required. The successful candidates will possess strong communication, computer, and organizational skills. Various Positions Summer Training Cruise 2008
SUNY Maritime College, located on the Throggs Neck peninsula in the Bronx a short distance from midtown Manhattan and Westchester, seeks bright and enthusiastic individuals to help support the mission of our college. We are currently looking to employ officers for this year's Summer Training Cruise. Positions for watch standers and instructors are available for both deck, engineering and regimental officers. This is an excellent opportunity to assist with the at-sea, practical training of future mariners and the chance to participate in a great itinerary. This term appointment will begin on April 28th and end on July 7th. During the training cruise, EMPIRE STATE will call at: Nassau, Bahamas; Toulon, France; Mallorca, Spain, and Belfast, Ireland.
