Builder: Lindenau GmbH Schiffswerft 32.2, is designed to transport chemicals IMO Type 2, oil and oil products. The ship is significant from this perennial producer of "Great Ships" in that it is the largest ever built at Lindenau. The ship features a Tele Care System (TCS) for remote diagnostic in first aid cases, in cooperation with Berlin Charitee University Hospital. The ship is also outfitted with a test installation including long-time monitoring equipment from Germanischer Lloyd, of the newly patented "rated break point double hull." The rated break point design was developed to reduce the collision energy brought into the inner hull of the ship, and will reduce the risk of a breakdown of the inner hull. The derricks are actually offset from the 25.60 m x 12.48 m moonpool in a new arrangement, and the hydraulically operated drilling system can be fully automated. This vessel -- with winterized equipment -- has been built for operating on the temperatures down to -20oC, such as those experienced in the Norwegian and Barents Seas. This ship has feature dynamic positioning system with DP-3 certification.
