Name: Al-Wataniya IV Type: Bunker Tanker Owner/Operator: Kuwait Oil Tanker Builder: Jurong SML - Singapore
The vessel Al-Wataniya IV is a modern, double hulled, single screw, diesel driven, oceangoing (Worldwide trading) and purpose built bunker tanker built by Jurong SML --Singapore to supply HFO and MDO bunkers. Design to operate in congested waters with larger area rudder/bowthruster. The RollsRoyce steering gear is fitted with a fully adaptive autopilot system. Although classed for bunker vessel, full enhancement has been implemented for this vessel to comply fully with the requirements for cargo having a flash point below 60C. The vessel was constructed under Lloyd's Register with notations - LRS X A1, X LMC, UMS, Double Hull Tanker ESP, IMS, PCWT, flash point below 60C. During the design phase, detailed analysis was carried out for Midship Finite Element (to predict global vibrations), torsional, lateral and axial vibration/noise levels, shafting and hull strength. Additional model tests were conducted to improve hull lines and improve maneuvering characteristics. The hull structure design exceeds the requirements of Class (LR) in terms of strength and fatigue. The vessel has a conventional pump room and consists of four pairs of cargo and one pair of slop tanks with the ballast tanks forming the double hull construction. Modern accommodations are available for a complement of 18, and includes cargo control room, cabins with bathrooms, galley, saloon, recreation room, gymnasium, hospital, provisions room, stores and Fire control station. The entertainment system includes a satellite TV system. A 100 percent redundant HVAC unit and refrigerated compartments are provided. Cargo/ballast tanks are coated with Jotun epoxy paint. Ballast/slop tanks are fully coated, while cargo tanks partially

Yacht Express Heavy Lift Dockwise Yacht Transport Yantai Raffles Shipyard
Dockwise Yacht Transport (DYT) received its newest ship, the 685.7-ft. (209 m) Yacht Express, built at the Yantai Raffles Shipyard in China, and delivered in May. It is largest vessel of its kind in the world, purpose-built with a semi-submersible dock bay that allows yachts of any size to be safely floated on and off as cargo. Yacht Express will join four other dedicated yacht carriers, all semi-submersible, in the existing liner service of DYT. "Most amazing is that this ship is designed to have a service
speed of 18 knots," said DYT President Clemens van der Werf. "This means that a transatlantic voyage with this ultra modern yacht carrier can be reduced by nearly 50 percent, from 15 to 8 days." Van der Werf added that Yacht Express also will feature amenities not found on the other DYT ships such as complimentary cabins for ride-aboard crew, an atrium with swimming pool, conference, media and fitness facilities, allowing for added comfort and entertainment during transit.
